Issue Twelve
Letter from the editor
Written in the snow on the wrought iron table top below my window, neatly, in large letters was this:
Progression is what life is about. Passion drives it. Integrity will sustain it.
Life–
There was a light dusting of snow a few weeks back. Written in the snow on the wrought iron table top below
my window, neatly, in large letters was this: “YODEL TO ALL MANKIND.” My eleven-year-old daughter Mary
wrote this. She told me that was her saying–and such has been the magical nature of my life.
This made me smile...
And so it's reason.
it’s where love lies
that means more than anything on earth
it’s following your heart- it’s holding truth.
it’s defeating doubt... it’s finding reason.
In Traffic–
State University of New York at Buffalo president John Simpson's vision is paramount to the development of
the region. If you want to attract people and business to a region you must have a strong base in higher education–ingrained in the community. Certainly UB has this, and John is bringing this to light by aiming to expand the University. In what will be an important, and continuing project in Traffic we have begun to highlight (Page 24, Portraits of a University) some of individuals who are connected with the University at Buffalo.
Please enjoy the issue and thanks to all who have contributed and to all who are supporting us.
